Goal: To improve wayfinding in shopping malls in the Vancouver area with a system that could be monetized in order to sustain itself.
Process: Observed, interviewed and surveyed users to determine a list of possible solutions. After compiling data and identifying clusters a solution was explored.
Solution: To create a kiosk and RFID system in which a user could program a profile into a RFID tag (credit card) and while travelling throughout the mall dynamic signs (LCD screens) would display user specific data based on the RFID tags in a certain area. Information could include bus schedules, sales, and directions to stores (if the user had entered that request into a kiosk.)
